Dear GIBS Members ,

It gives us immense pride and happiness to inform you all that (Global Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome) achieved a significant milestone with its inaugural international congress in Europe, GIBS EUROPE 2023, held on October 28th and 29th, 2023, at the AMC in Amsterdam. This landmark event, themed “Containing the Bladder Blaze,” marked a turning point in advancing knowledge and understanding of Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS).

The congress focused on groundbreaking research, expert insights, and collaboration, with the aim of improving the lives of those affected by IC/BPS. Attendees gained valuable insights into the latest developments and research in the field, providing a platform for experts, researchers, and healthcare professionals to discuss strategies for enhancing care and support for individuals with IC/BPS.

This achievement was made possible by the dedication of participants, speakers who played a pivotal role in advancing knowledge, sharing insights, and fostering connections in the realm of IC/BPS.

Dr. Sajjad Rahnama’i’s initiative in the Netherlands to introduce an IC/BPS session in the Congress was particularly commendable, enriching the program and expanding the knowledge base in this critical field.

Special appreciation goes to Dr. Rajesh Taneja, Chairman of GIBS & Congress Chairman, and Dr. Sanjay Pandey, Secretary of GIBS & Congress Secretary, for their exceptional leadership, as well as to all faculty members who contributed to the success of the congress.
